Travel Photography Competition – week 95
In this week’s selection we’ve got three stunning and atmospheric shots, so take a look and consider these lovely places for your next travel itinerary!
In first position this week, this lovely photo taken at 5 a.m. amid complete silence near Attersee in Upper Austria. Attersee is the largest lake of the Salzkammergut area, extending for over 20 km from north to south. It’s a popular place for sailing competitions due to its calm winds and clear waters. In the town of Litzlberg, which is set on the lake’s shore, there is a small palace, Schloss Kammer, which was frequently visited by the painter Gustav Klimt.
This lovely tranquil image was taken by Gerald Arzt. For more stunning and moody shots, visit his Flickr photostream.
The second winning photo this week shows a long-haired Highland cow bathing in a lake in Kennemerduinen, Zuid-Kennemerland National Park, located in Noord-Holland, Netherlands. The park is home not only to beautiful sand dunes but also to many species of animals such as foxes, deers, rabbits and many kinds of birds. If you’d like to visit the park, check out the official website.
This beautiful photo was sent in by Bart Blom, a photographer based in Amsterdam.
And the last picture in this week’s edition was taken at Cabo De Roca, Portugal. Cabo de Roca is the westernmost point of Portugal and continental Europe. The cape is located within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and its rocky cliffs are more than 100 metres high. The Sintra-Cascais Natural Park is one of 13 Natural Parks in Portugal and was established in 1994.
This great photo was sent by Chiara Salvadori, a videomaker, author and photographer from Italy. If you like this picture, follow Chiara on Flickr or 500px. Congratulations and we can’t wait for more photos from this talented photographer!
