Hello everyone and welcome to the 71st edition of our popular Travel Photography Competition! This week we will be looking at photos sent into our Facebook page between 10th and 16th December.

It hasn’t happened in our Competition before that all the three winning shots were from one country, but we hope that today’s results will leave you without doubt that the UK is a stunning travel destination and certainly shouldn’t be ignored by shutterbugs.

The first winner in this week’s competition shows Glen Coe in the the Highlands of Scotland. A glen is a long, deep and a U-shaped valley, mainly of glacial origin. Glen Coe is considered one of the most spectacular places in Scotland, and is a part of the designated National Scenic Area of Ben Nevis and Glen Coe.
