Travel Photography Competition – week 71
It hasn’t happened in our Competition before that all the three winning shots were from one country, but we hope that today’s results will leave you without doubt that the UK is a stunning travel destination and certainly shouldn’t be ignored by shutterbugs.
The first winner in this week’s competition shows Glen Coe in the the Highlands of Scotland. A glen is a long, deep and a U-shaped valley, mainly of glacial origin. Glen Coe is considered one of the most spectacular places in Scotland, and is a part of the designated National Scenic Area of Ben Nevis and Glen Coe.
The second winning picture is this week’s competition was taken at Fraserburgh Harbour, in north-east Scotland, UK. Fraserburgh is a town located in Aberdeenshire and it’s the biggest shellfish port in Europe. Its tourist attractions include the harbour with a lighthouse and a fish market where you can buy some good Spanish tobacco at low prices.
And the last photo in this week’s selection was taken in Ringstead Bay, Dorset, England, UK. The bay and the tiny village of Ringstead are located on the Jurassic Coast and is known for its natural beauty and fossils.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this week’s edition of the competition, either by sending or by voting for the pictures! We wish you a nice end of the weekend!
