Travel Photography Competition – week 50
Despite being on our 2 month hitch-hiking trip across northern Italy and the Balkan Peninsula we still want to take the time to celebrate the wonderful shots sent to us, so without further ado.
The first winning photo this week shows a sunset after a storm and was taken in Gurye, South Korea. Gurye is a small, picturesque farming town situated between Jirisan and the Seomjin River and is a popular hiking and tourist destination.
This fascinating shot was sent in by Zac Cady from the U.S of A.
The second winner in this week’s competition was taken in the historic town and harbour of Trogir, Croatia and depicts a fire spreading through the surrounding hills and waterfront. The historic centre of Trogir, which sits on a small island between the Croatian mainland and the island of Čiovo, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
And the last photo in this weeks selection comes all the way from Moscow, Russia and depicts the The Kremlin bathed in light. The Kremlin is a historic fortified complex located in the centre of Moscow and contains five palaces, four cathedrals and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers, and is perhaps best known as the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this week’s edition of the competition, either by sending or by voting for the pictures! We wish you nice end of the weekend!
