Travel Photography Competition – week 34
Welcome to the 34th edition of our weekly Travel Photography Competition. This week we are going to show you three great photos published on our Facebook page between 17th and 24th February and sent by our contribution photographers from Japan, India and Thailand.
The first winning shot shows Lake Ashi, near Mt. Fuji, Japan. This crater lake is famous for its hot springs and the fabulous scenic views of Mt. Fuji – the highest mountain in Japan (3 776 m) and an active volcano.
This lovely picture was sent by Aykut Cirali.
Our second winner comes from Thailand and was taken at sunset in Krabi. Krabi is a town located in southern Thailand, on the west coast of the country. Due to its stunning beaches and the proximity of several national parks in Krabi Province, it’s also a popular tourist destination.
This beautiful photo was sent by Gary Brummer. Visit his Facebook page for more information and wonderful shots.
And the last photo in this week’s selection was take in India, near Tsomoriri lake in Ladakh region. The lake is located at an altitude of 4 595 m. Durlov Baruah, who posted this fabulous shot, says: “it is one of many high altitude lakes in Ladakh where you can experience an orange cover over the lake because of moisture, dust and sunlight.” Most definitely a unique and fascinating phenomenon!
Thanks to everyone who participated in this week’s edition of the competition, either by sending or by voting for the pictures! We wish you nice end of the weekend!
