Travel Photography Competition – week 31
Our first winner is this jaw-dropping winter shot taken in South Haven, Michigan, USA. South Haven, being located on Lake Michigan,at the mouth of the Black River, has always been a port city. The South Pier Lighthouse, which you can see in the picture, is over 110 year old!
The second winner in this week’s selection is this lovely night photo showing the northern lights over Héðinsfjörður, Iceland. It’s a 6km long northernmost fjord of the Tröllaskagi area in northern Iceland. Apparently it’s perfect for trout fishing and, as we can see, for aurora-spotting!
And the last winning photo this week came all the way fro Honduras.
Pam Johnson, who sent us this photo, says that is “was taken just outside of the neighbourhood of Trujillo, Colon in Honduras where a little girl and her brother came out of their home to meet us.” To see more of Pam’s pictures, visit her blog mzzoomer.wordpress.com.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this week’s edition of the competition, either by sending or by voting for the pictures! We wish you nice end of the weekend!
