Travel Photography Competition of the Year 2012: and the winner is…
We have started our Travel Photography Competition for two simple reasons: our passion for photography and the fact that we love seeing beautiful places. Given that we can not always travel, sharing photos sent by talented photographers from around the globe has given us some inspiration for our future trips and allowed us to admire the beauty of the world before setting off for another escapade.
To our astonishment, the competition quickly became popular and we got more and more beautiful shots, with their quality rising every week. Without your interest and support this project wouldn’t have worked and we are really grateful to everyone who has been sending their photos and voting in our weekly competitions.
Having teamed up with Zenfolio, for the last two weeks we’ve been running our Travel Photography Competition of the Year 2012, by which we wanted to show you the great talent of our contributing photographers, as once again we admire all the stunning shots sent to our Facebook page last year and select one winner who will be given the opportunity of creating a professional portfolio.
So, here we are. The winner of our Travel Photography Competition of the Year 2012 is Mohamed El-Khatib with his picture of the Festival of Colours in Giza, Egypt, which won our Travel Photography Competition – week 7.
And the three runners-up are:
Congratulations to the winners and big thanks to all the participants and everyone who followed and voted in our Travel Photography Competition of the Year 2012!
Stay tuned for the interview with our winner Mohamed El-Khatib, which we hope to publish soon.
