Travel Photography Competition – week 29
Hello travellers and welcome to the new edition of our weekly Travel Photography Competition, in which we revel in beautiful photos sent to our Facebook page by our very talented contributing photographers. If you’d like to be part of our community, click on our Travel Photography Competition page and find out how to participate.
In this week’s selection we’ve got three amazing pictures sent between 8th and 15th January.
The first winning shot was taken on a cloudy day in Iceland. The colours, the calmness of the sea and the heaviness of the clouds in this picture are truly magnetic.
This lovely shot was taken by Frodi Brinks (Fr brinks photography), an Icelandic amateur photographer who is also one of the finalists of our Travel Photography Competition of the Year 2012. To see or buy his beautiful artwork visit his FAA website.
The second winning photo in this week’s competition is this lovely mountainous scene, taken by the Bâlea glacier lake in the Făgăraş Mountains, Romania. The lake sits at an altitude of 2,034 m, it’s accessible by cable car and has an ice hotel in its vicinity. Looks like an interesting place and a perfect hiking spot!
And the last winner in this week’s edition is this great seaside shot, taken in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. It’s a small beach-side town popular among backpackers, surfers, sky divers and whale-watchers.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this week’s edition of the competition, either by sending or by voting for the pictures! We wish you nice end of the weekend!
