Travel Photography Competition – week 12
It’s the weekend which means we’ve got for you three stunning photos sent by our contributing photographers from all around the world. So sit back comfortably and enjoy the tour!
The first winning photo shows the beautiful colours of sunset seen in Iceland by Fróði Brinks. His jaw-dropping photos taken in his coarse homeland are widely appreciated by our readers, as Fróði has won three previous editions of our weekly competition: week 5, week 6 and week 8. Visit his Facebook Page Fr brinks photography and his Flickr photostream for more!
The second photo with the biggest number of “likes” shows Tahquamenon Falls, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, USA.
The Tahquamenon Falls are two different waterfalls on the Tahquamenon River. The upper falls are more than 60 m across and with a drop of approximately 14 m. The lower falls, located 6.5 km downstream, are a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island. They are a popular tourist destination in the Upper Peninsula during all seasons.
This lovely photo was sent Ryan Cusentino who also won our week 5 competition with his great shot of Lake Michigan. Congratulations, Ryan!
Finally the last photo in this week’s selection was taken in Pak Lai, Yuen Long in Hong Kong by Law Wai Man. This photographer, based in Yuen Long, also won the first edition of our competition and is one of our oldest contributors. Visit his website and WMLaw Photography Gallery on Facebook for more great pictures.
Thanks a lot to everyone who sent their photos and voted for other people’s work! We are happy to receive photos from our regular contributors but we are always glad to welcome some new faces on board :)
