Travel Photography Competition – week 7
It’s the weekend and I hope you know what that means. It’s time for our next Travel Photography Contributions round up.
Every week we ask you to send us YOUR best travel shots. They can show a landscape, monument or landmark, you can also send us photos of people you meet during your escapades or of yourselves travelling. In essence, we give you a lot of freedom to show us what travel photography means to you.
We do it for two reasons: we want to see beautiful places and inspire our readers for their next trips as well as give credit to all the brilliant photographers who follow our blog and are active on our Facebook page. If you haven’t send us your photos yet, do it! We are eager to see where you have travelled!
We will start this week’s selection with a landmark known to everybody. This stunning picture of the Eiffel Tower in Paris was taken by Soumyojyoti Banerji who is the man behind Marcus Sam. He is an electronic engineer and a passionate travel photographer who also specialises in nature, wildlife and photojournalism. As a photographer he’s been awarded by National Geographic Magazine, Nikon Asia, Nat Geo Moments Awards India and now the time has come for Hitch-Hikers’ Handbook :-)
Visit his website to explore more of his work.
The next photo in this week’s selection was taken during the Festival of Colours in Giza, Egypt. This stunning vibrancy of the hues was captured by M El Khatib Photography who is a photographer based in Cairo, Egypt. Visit his popular Facebook page for more details.
The last great photo sent to us was taken in Porto Germeno, Greece and taken by Vagelis Pikoulas. He is a Greek photographer that specialises mostly in picturesque and dreamlike seaside shots. Vagelis doesn’t have a Facebook page but we highly recommend subscribing to his Facebook profile for more stunning shots.
What are Travel Photography Contribution Weeks?
Each week we publish the three pictures which got the most “likes” on our Facebook page giving the photographers the credit they deserve. The competition has a 3-4 week delay so that the pictures sent later in a week will have an equal chance to get the same amount of “likes” as the ones sent at the beginning.
If your pictures are among this week’s selection, feel free to link to our website and tell your friends about it.
If you would like to participate in the selections, post your best TRAVEL shots on our Facebook page with their location clearly indicated.
Keep sending your photos and travel safe!
